TIPS FOR BUILDING YOUR OWN MOON ROVER USING BALLOONS

Materials needed:

Wheels - Bottle caps
Axle - (Moving) Long sosatie stick in a straw glued to chassis, (fixed) sosatie stick glued onto chassis
Chassis (body of rover) - Ice cream sticks / plastic bottle / shoe box
Model of Astronaut - Cardboard cut-out, Lego man
Balloon power - put balloon over cut open bottle that is glued to chassis / pvc piping

To ensure that your rover moves in a straight line make sure the axles are the same length and the wheels are the same size in the front and the same size in the back.

A moving axle works better than a fixed one as the wheels do not turn, the axle spins freely inside of the straw that is glued to the chassis.

Remember!!! The lighter the rover is the further it will move.

Spray paint might look nice but it adds unnecessary weight to your rover.
